1:00 pm EST – His Eminence Gérald Cyprien Cardinal Lacroix
“Pope Francis has declared that synodality is what God expects of the Church in the 21st century. But what is synodality? Is it just another word in style or can it have an impact on the life of the Church and in your life in Catholic Schools?
Pope Francis answers that question: “Synodality is not a chapter in an ecclesiology textbook, much less a fad or a slogan to be bandied about in our meetings. Synodality is an expression of the Church’s nature, her form, style and mission.”
I’d like to take advantage of the time we’ll spend together to reflect on the three themes that help us discern if we are a synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission.
Synodality is not just for Dioceses or parishes. It is a way of living that can help us all live our mission in today’s world.”
Friday, June 3: AGM
In lieu of an AGM Registration Fee, we are inviting members to consider helping Canadian Catholic Education by donating to our Toonies for Tuition Campaign.
Each year, we receive far more requests than donations and for the past several years, we’ve seen a decrease in donations due to the Covid-19 Pandemic – despite the steady requests for funding. Let’s work together to rebuild this campaign and support as many Canadian families as possible so that every Canadian child has access to a Catholic Education.
