This has been a tough year, and CCSTA wants to let you know that we appreciate all you are doing to keep Catholic education alive and well in Canada.
There have been so many examples of extraordinary effort, care and concern from trustees, staff and educators during this unprecedented and difficult time. We can not thank you enough!
Living out our faith at home, work and in our parishes and communities, understanding that everything is always happening for our highest good, can help us be an inspiration to others while providing personal comfort. Often our greatest joy comes from the times we help and serve others, and you have all been serving! “Well done, good and trustworthy servant” (Matt 25.21)
We are so blessed to have publicly funded Catholic education in some provinces, yet there are other provinces where schools are struggling to stay open. COVID-19 has made things even more difficult with extra expenses for PPE, cleaning, etc. Due to financial concerns, some families are having a hard time paying tuition to keep their children in these non-funded Catholic schools.
We encourage you, if possible, to consider helping out these Catholic families by making a donation to Toonies for Tuition or having your school launch a fundraising campaign. Families who send their children to these schools sacrifice much to pay their child’s education. These schools do their best to make sure that no family who wants a Catholic education is turned away.
As Thanksgiving is around the corner, we thank God for all of you, and pray that you will stay healthy and find comfort in God’s presence.
God offers us hope and peace through prayer. Let us pray Philippians 4.6-7 “Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Thank you again for all you are doing. God bless!
