There’s little doubt 2012 has already established itself as a busy year for the Canadian Catholic School Trustees’ Association. Following a short summer break, we’re preparing for yet another busy school year.
The CCSTA calendar is filled with meetings and gatherings over the next few months that will ensure trustees connect with one another and that we continue to spread our message of support for Catholic education across Canada.
This month we’ll host a series of committee meetings where we’ll re-group to discuss items of interest and upcoming events.
One such important event will be the government reception we plan to host this October for politicians on Parliament Hill. We will once again have the opportunity to meet with some of our country’s leaders to discuss Catholic education’s role and impact across Canada. We always look forward to speaking with our parliamentary delegates to impress on them the contribution that Catholic education has and continues to make to the social fabric of our nation.
In conjunction with this reception, we have our Board of Directors meeting planned for October. We welcome new faces to the board and look forward to working with each provincial representative.
It takes an entire community to make a Catholic school successful and we value the efforts each person makes to ensure our children receive a Catholic education. We wish all the trustees, teachers and students all the best as they begin another school year.
