Thank You for Supporting Toonies for Tuition on October 6th!

Should you have missed the day, don’t worry. We collect money throughout the year to support students in Catholic schools in paying their tuition. So just set your own date for Toonies, if you could.

We are always on the look-out for new ideas in fund-raising for Toonies. Please send any you may have to this site and we’ll pass them along. St. John Catholic Elementary in Perth told us of a fun evening the School Council there hosted in 2009 and will do so again in 2010.

Below is their invitation:

Irish Family Dance and Toonies for Tuition

St. John Catholic Elementary School in Perth, Ontario will be holding its second annual Irish Family Dance on Friday March 5, 2010 featuring the Barley Shakers (live band). We have invited back Sheila Scott from Ottawa to lead us in some traditional Irish Group dances. Also, there will be a presentation of Irish solo dancing by Arts in Motion – Perth School of Dance. A suggested donation of $10.00 per family is appreciated. Drinks and snacks will be sold for a low cost. Some complimentary snacks will be available. Last year we had a great time with people picking up the simple steps very quickly. All proceeds will go to Toonies for Tuition, a charity that helps pay tuition for Catholic education in provinces where it is not publicly funded. Last year we raised $245. Please mark March 5th on your calendar and plan to join us!
